Fall in St. Augustine: Our Favorite Things to Do in 2026

Fall is one of our favorite times of year in St. Augustine. The summer crowds start to thin out, the weather becomes a little more comfortable, and there's plenty happening around town.

We might not get the changing leaves and crisp mountain air, but fall in Northeast Florida has its own appeal. Beach mornings, outdoor festivals, pumpkin patches, and evenings spent downtown are all part of the season.

Visit Sykes Family Farms

A local fall tradition, Sykes Family Farms in Elkton is worth the short drive from St. Augustine. Their annual crop maze is a favorite with families, along with hayrides, farm animals, activities for kids, and pumpkins.

The 2026 season runs October 3 through November 1.

Visit Parker Flower Farms

Another great fall outing is Parker Flower Farms in Elkton. Spend an afternoon wandering through fields of sunflowers and wildflowers, pick your own bouquet, and enjoy a little time outdoors. They also host seasonal workshops, family movie nights, and special events throughout the fall.

Their 2026 fall season runs October 17 through November 22, making it a fun weekend stop for families or an afternoon with friends.

Spend an Afternoon Downtown

Fall is a great time to explore historic downtown St. Augustine. Walk along St. George Street, stop into a few local shops, grab lunch outside, or take a walk along the bayfront.

It's also a great season to visit some of the city's historic attractions without the peak summer heat.

Check Out the Local Markets

We love how many opportunities there are to shop locally in St. Augustine. The Wednesday Pier Farmers Market is a fun midweek stop, and the Saturday morning market at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre is another favorite for produce, local makers, and food.

Get Outside

Some of the best fall days here are the simple ones. Take the bikes out around Anastasia Island, head to the beach for an afternoon, go fishing, or explore the trails at Anastasia State Park.

With cooler weather arriving, it's a great time to enjoy the outdoors.

Get Ready for Nights of Lights

By November, downtown begins its transformation for St. Augustine's annual Nights of Lights. The 2026 celebration begins November 21 and continues through January 18, 2027.

Whether you walk downtown or book a boat or trolley tour, it's one of the highlights of the holiday season.

Fall is a reminder of why we love calling St. Augustine home. There's always something happening, but there's also plenty of room to slow down and enjoy where we live.
